High-quality verandas from Alternative Roof Solutions

Alternative Roof Solutions are a family run business located in Northampton that installs high-quality bespoke verandas for homes in Northamptonshire and surrounding areas.
With the British weather being so unpredictable, sometimes even though the weather is warm enough to sit outside, the rain stops you from enjoying being able to sit in your garden. That’s where a veranda is the ideal feature to add to your garden.

Long-lasting verandas

Our verandas are made from aluminium to ensure that the British weather doesn’t detract from their looks and are available in a wide range of colours to complement your home. They can be glazed either with polycarbonate or glass and are available several styles, so if your looking for a modern or traditional veranda, then we can help.
There are also optional extras such as lighting and heating that can be installed and to give you an uninterrupted view, we can even have a post span of up to 6 meters. Other options that are also available are glass panels to help protect you further from the weather.

Alfresco living

Verandas are the ideal addition for any home, as they allow you to enjoy the outdoors, whilst also being sheltered. Verandas are great for when you want to host events in the summer such as BBQs, without any distruption. You can also leave outdoor furniture and outdoor equipment uncovered as they'll be protected under your veranda.

Veranda FAQs

What is a veranda?
A veranda is an open-aired porch that is attached to the outside of a building. They provide a space with permanent shelter from adverse weather conditions. Verandas are typically glazed with either polycarbonate or glass, which will depend on the style of veranda you have chosen.
What colours can I choose from?
Our verandas are available in a wide range of colours, so you can have the perfect addition to your home.
What's the difference between a veranda and a conservatory?
A conservatory is more of an extension to your home, whereas a veranda may or may not have walls and lets you enjoy the outdoors without any obstructions.
What material is the structure made from?
Our verandas are made using high-quality aluminium so they will last a long time and prevent British weather from causing damage to your veranda. They are available in a wide range of colours so it will match your home perfectly.
Can you add lights or heating to my veranda?
Yes! Various optional extras are available, such as lighting and heating, and we can even have posts that span up to 6 meters to provide you with an uninterrupted view. As another option, you can choose glass panels to further protect you from the weather.
Are verandas worth the money?
Yes, they are a fantastic addition to your home and a worthwhile investment.
In addition to adding value to your home and functionality to your garden, they also provide additional weather protection. No more ruined outdoor furniture!

Reviews for Alternative Roof Solutions Northampton
"Winter is upon us, but fear not, for now we can retreat to our warm and cosy conservatory with its new roof, updated glazing and oodles of insulation. You can now sit in comfort on a cold winter's night. Alternative Roof Solutions (John and the crew) have given us a quiet haven to retire to, not to mention the added bonus of a warmer house. A lot of heat was disappearing out of the old carbonate roof. Now it’s not even heated, but is still snug enough from the warmth of the house. Should have done this years ago!"
